Disease description

Patches of damaged grass sometimes with superficial gray mycelium in or on plant tissues.

Predisposing Factors

• Forced fall growth
• Most Kentucky Blue Grass cultivars are susceptible to Snow Molds

Cultural Control

Allow turf to "harden off" in fall.

Chemical Control

Fungicides should be applied in fall before development of permanent winter snow cover.
